Verbier is about a kinship, with the mountains, the people and the experiences. The village and landscape are here for you to explore. What does Verbier mean to you?
Roots
Verbier’s history has been influenced by the local way of life and the outstanding beauty of the area. Although it has changed over the past 70 years since the its first ski lift was installed, Verbier still holds on to its roots through the locals that still call the village their home, through the farmers that still work the land and through the community’s love for the mountains.
The people
Many say it is the people that make Verbier, the place draw’s people from around the world who seek adventure, balance and fun. The kind of people who are always seeking adventure and want to share their experiences with family and friends. It’s a kind of alpine playground for people who love being outdoors in nature, exploring.
Go explore
Verbier is at its best when there is a fresh blanket of snow, you will hear the whoops of joy from the skiers tearing through the trees, feel the fresh mountain air on your cheeks and see the smiles on the faces of the people after their day on the mountain. There’s a huge pisted ski area and Verbier is super well known for its off piste. It is also a real big mountain skiers dream. The Swatch Extreme Freeride World Tour climaxes here every March, on the “Mountian of Legend” the Bec des Rosses.
Make memories
Leave with the memories of your first fondue at the family run Marlenaz, hidden in the forest above Verbier. Soak up the views from Cabane Mont Fort on a cool, crisp mountain day. Feel the euphoria skiing first fresh tracks down Mont Gelé. Share your stories in the Fer à Cheval with the locals.
It is through our love of Verbier that Lagom has grown. If we can have less of an impact on the environment. Perhaps make some small choices to consume less. We will all be able continue to enjoy and share this playground.
Verbier is a place where you can escape the trappings of everyday life, relax and take time to enjoy the mountains. We fell in love Verbier and we want you to fall in love with it too.
